Paris is one of the most iconic cities in the world, but there’s so much more to see beyond the tourist hotspots. When I’m traveling, I like to stray off the beaten path and explore some lesser-known gems. In honor of my trip fast approaching, here are my top three spots in Paris that aren't the Eiffel Tower:

ree
  • Le Marais – This trendy neighborhood offers the perfect mix of cobbled streets, chic boutiques, and historical charm. Plus, it’s home to some of the best cafés for people-watching. This is also the best area for thrifting. Some of my favorite shops (all within walking distance of one another) are: FREE P'STAR, KILO SHOP, CHEAP FRIP VINTAGE and VINTAGE BY RAMIN. If you're looking for a high-end consignment shop to purchase a beautiful Chanel or Dior at half the price- look no further than Passsion Luxe. The staff is so friendly, informative and will treat you like the V.I.P. you are.

  • Parc des Buttes-Chaumont – A beautiful, less touristy park where you can escape the crowds and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. The views are incredible, and there’s even a little temple on a hill to climb.

  • Musée de Orsay – While the Lourve is gorgeous, many forget about this must-see museum in Paris. Housed in the former Gare d'Orsay, a Beaux-Arts railway station, this one of a kind spot is a can't miss. Holding art in every form from photography to furniture to paintings and sculptures, the Musée de Orsay has a rich collection of interesting and thought provoking pieces. It also houses the largest collection of impressionist paintings, so if you're a fan of Monet or Van Gogh- you should definitely GOGH! (Pun intended)
